Courage to Caregivers is hosting its first nationwide virtual fundraising event - MOVE WITH COURAGE as part of our Illumination! fundraising event series.

We know that movement of ANY kind is beneficial to your health - not just to your physical health, your mental health as well! There are benefits for your muscles - bones - joints - heart - lungs AND your brain.

Sunday, July 24 is International Self-Care Day and Courage to Caregivers’ 3rd Annual Day of Giving. As caregivers provide support to those they love, it’s also important that they take care of their own health and well-being.

Throughout July we’re encouraging you to JUST MOVE - ANY way you want: walk - run -hike - bike - swim - paddle - dance - wheel - garden - Pilates - yoga - meditate (movement for your mind). Set a movement challenge goal - anything that feels like a challenge to YOU and track it.

Prizes will be available for move goals met and funds raised - thank you for making an inspiring impact to help prevent caregiver burnout.

Set a FUNDRAISING Goal

Once you’ve registered, there are two easy ways to engage your friends with your fundraising goal:

(1) Facebook or Instagram Fundraisers

Head to Facebook and share this link in a post on your wall. We’ll be able to credit any donations that come from this link to your fundraising goal.

(2) Email Fundraising

Here’s are sample email you can customize and share with your friends.

We’ll update the leaderboard weekly with top fundraisers.

Every dollar you raise through MOVE WITH COURAGE makes an inspiring impact for caregivers in need of support to prevent caregiver burnout.

Set a MOVEMENT Challenge Goal

Set a goal that feels like a challenge to YOU and track it!

(1) ACTIVITY - Think about ALL the ways you want to MOVE. Walk - run - hike - bike - swim - paddle - dance - meditate - yoga - just MOVE! I.E. Yoga for 10 minutes a day, Walk for 15 minutes a day.

(2) MEASUREMENT - How will you measure your movement goal? Minutes? Distance? Use your Apple Watch (move goals can be tracked) or Fitbit or app of your choice!
