Welcome Professional Caregivers

As professional caregivers - behavioral health counselors, social workers, psychologists/psychiatrists, health providers, and educators - you know about the hazards of caregiver burnout all too well!

According to a survey by the National Institute of Health (NIH), approximately 50% of all respondents reported burnout, with the highest levels among nurses (56%) and other clinical staff (54%). Additionally, the Clinical Social Work Journal reports 64% of social workers are currently reporting burnout.

How can you better cope with the stress of caregiving,

reduce burnout for yourself and those you care for?

Courage to Caregivers can be a resource for you and your team. We cannot remove or take away stress, but we can provide the tools necessary to recognize early signs of burnout and techniques to help you manage the stress of providing care. Our workshops are based on our core values of building resilience and are offered either in person or via video conference for groups of any size.

Below we have provided our presentation topics in addition to supplemental, hands-on activities and national resources to jump start your personal self-care journey. We look forward to supporting you in any way we can.  In the meantime, don’t forget to take care of YOU too!

- Kristi Horner, Family Peer Support Specialist/FPS - Founder and Executive Director
