Host Pop-Up Peer Support

We are partnering with agencies throughout Northeast Ohio between July 2024 and June 2025 to offer Pop-Up Peer Support. We’re hosting listening sessions with either a family peer support specialist or a recovery peer support specialist. Pop-Up Peer Support will be at regional community centers and community events over the next year. This service creates a safe space to have one-on-one conversations with people who have either individual lived experience or caregiver lived experience. During these conversations, we provide a caring ear, resources, care navigation, technical assistance about becoming a certified peer supporter, and guidance on employment opportunities for peer supporters.

By modeling peer support, promoting it in new ways and new places, enlisting new peer supporters, and providing guidance about the certification process, we aim to grow the peer support professional field.
